Hello there!
For those of you have stumbled upon my blog, I would like to introduce myself from the beginning so that you would feel like you know me already 🙂
1987
I was the blessed child of Etty Roswiaty and Muhammad Abin; half Sundanese (Indonesian local tribe) and half Chinese, 100% pledge of being Indonesian. Being a movie freak, I watched so many movies and tv series since I was 7 years old where it shot many wonderful settings. Paris, Spain, Japan, Egypt, Amazon, and many exotic places that made me wants to be an explorer.
Then I made a final decision: I want to become a world wanderer.
2009
I graduated with Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication Design where I fell in love with the colourful animated world. Motion, art and design will always be my passion wherever I will go. I worked for a couple of companies and did some freelance to support my travel fund. Spent 6 years working as Graphic Design/ User Interface/ Motion Graphic Design, in a couple of amazing companies in Indonesia. My super cool portfolio wouldn’t exist without their welcoming hands. I grew so fast within their care.

2013
The day when my father passed away, I have torn apart; mainly because all of his possession in this world means nothing anymore as he went to the grave without bringing anything. I was in the middle of dealing with his inheritance and then it hit me.
“I don’t want to spend the rest of my life working hard for money and then died without having any life experiences.”
I decided it was time for me to fulfil my life with experiences and memories that will last til the end of my days. I started to write travel bucket list and finally moved to Bali where my travel life started. IÂ found out that the world is larger than I thought it would be. I have been touched with many wonderful souls that taught me about the life meaning.
2014
Started my first-time long term travelling throughout Southeast Asia where I began to comprehend the world of backpacking, the solo travel survival kit, met strangers through Couchsurfing (and became friends for life!). And most of all I met so many the people around the globe who has the same kind of dream as I do. I learned many things from the long journey, especially about myself.
Therefore, I kept a blog by the name ‘Jejak Marina’ as the memories, stories and photographs that will last forever in the digital world.
2016
I won a scholarship from Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education) to continue my study into Master of Arts at University of Leeds, United Kingdom. I have spent almost 16 months abroad juggled in studying, travelling and working part-time as a graphic designer. Even though 2016 was a harsh time, I graduated wonderfully last December 2016 and ready to serve the county to make a better world.
Present
I am currently still on the journey to find myself. I have and always been in love with the diversity of histories and cultures; every city has its own charm that you can’t resist. For me, travel is more than just a visit; It is to connect with people, to breath in the lives, to feel alive.  Solo travel has become an addiction, and I would really like other women to know how it feels too! And so I came back again to my blog with a new purpose in mind: Inspire woman to try solo travelling once in their life.
Hope you like what I wrote in my new fresh blog ‘Runway Marina’ , start to read the blog from here and keep the radar on for my new posts by subscribing my newsletter!
